LOCATION:
Located at 3565 NE Sandy Blvd in the Hollywood District of Portland, Hollywood Pet Hospital is also easily accessible from either the east or west via the I84 freeway.

PARKING:
Parking is on the street, and since Sandy Blvd is a very busy thoroughfare, you will want to bring your dog on a leash, and plan to contain your cat for safety. We also ask that you keep your dog leashed while in the main waiting area.

HISTORY:
Originally known as the Sandy Boulevard Veterinary Clinic, the facility's name was changed in 1980 to show its connection to the Hollywood neighborhood when Dr. Robert Ward and Dr. Laurence Sams bought the practice and the building from Dr. Jack Hardesty. Designed in the Art Deco style by local architect, Ralph Bonadurer, Hollywood Pet Hospital opened in 1945, and is one of the oldest veterinary practices in the city of Portland.

ACCREDITATION:
Hollywood Pet Hospital was the first Portland veterinary clinic to be accredited by American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in 1958. Fewer than 18 percent of the small animal veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada are AAHA members. Accredited hospitals undergo a detailed evaluation of services and equipment and a trained practice consultant thoroughly inspects the hospital to make sure it meets AAHA's high standards in the following areas:

SERVICES & EDUCATION:
In addition, we have up-to-date radiology and dental equipment, a surgical suite, and an on-site lab to enable our doctors and staff to give the best of care to your pets. Boarding services are also available, and include plenty of TLC.

Hollywood Pet Hospital believes in the importance of routine and preventative care to keep pets healthy. We offer puppy and kitten well-health plans that include physical exams, a series of vaccinations, and spaying or neutering.

Continuing education is an important part of maintaining our hospital's high standards. All doctors and staff members attend annual seminars to stay current on advances in veterinary medicine and to improve patient care and client service.
